Help for the Andes Foundation
Sub-standard living conditions in hospitals have taken a toll on the regions and the pressure on healthcare providers to save lives is enormous.
Our wish is to provide hospitals with the medical equipment, hospital beds and resources necessary to provide a better service to the underprivileged population on a nationwide scale.
Humanitarian Aid
The main objective of this initiative is to improve the health, safety and well-being of the hospital patients in underserved health services and areas, by providing them with the opportunity to renovate medical equipment, supplies and hospital beds.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
According to recent statistics published by the Chilean Public Health Services, it is estimated that there is a shortage of essential, commonplace medical equipment necessary for modern care practices, as well as a shortage of thousands of beds to meet the demand of patients in the hospitals. The number of days that a patient remains in a public hospital in comparison with a private clinic is very high. This problem is not due to inferior medical attention, but a lack of resources to meet these needs.
How will this effort solve this problem?
We hope that our Humanitarian Aid program will succeed in raising the standard of the quality of service for patients, and strengthen the assistance offered by the hospitals.
With our past experience in recent years coordinating donations for hospitals in partnership with other solid organizations, with expertise in medical development and hospital planning, we have developed a working plan to provide the hospitals in the most under privileged and neglected areas of Chile, Peru, Bethlehem, etc. with resources, supplies and advanced medical equipment.
We focus on getting the help needed in order to:
Install Intensive Care Units
Renovate clinical beds
Acquire international cooperation
Provide Medical Equipment and Supplies
Organize local support teams
